Our mission: To assist disadvantaged schools in Austin, Texas by procuring resources from businesses and neighborhood communities so that their students have more opportunities.

2024 Wrap-Up

Our non-profit for disadvantaged students in AISD schools has grown this year and we are happy with our progress.  In 2022, the year we were founded, we supported 1 elementary school and this school year we supported 6 schools – 3 elementary, 1 middle school and 2 high schools. We boxed up donations from Eanes ISD schools and included community donations of gently used/new clothes.  In addition to shirts, dresses, hoodies and dresses we provided suits, dress pants and jeans to middle and high school boys as well as pants and jeans for girls.  Jackets were a big hit this year for schools who received a limited number of coats through the Coats For Kids program.

A BIG THANK YOU to Eanes ISD schools, community donors, non-profit I Support The Girls (Zuzanna), Austin Ridge Church, Kendra Scott Philanthropy and all our volunteers.  Without my board – Mary Lou B., Tina C., and Debbie P, our non-profit would not be a well running organization that helps us accomplish our mission – helping disadvantaged kids with stresses that do not allow them to focus on academics. I am so grateful for our giving volunteers who stepped up to help in various capacities and they are as follows:  Tammy A., Gayle C., Debbie C., Stephanie C.,  Maria F., Dona G., Nancy H., Clara H., Ann L., Claire M., Caroline M., Kathy M., Charlotte S., Jennifer S., and Julia T.  We would not be able to operate without Julia T., a high school senior that has been with us from day 1 and keeps our website up and running.

We continue to accept donations of summer and winter clothes all during the year.  We have one clothing distribution per school each year that contains both summer and winter clothes and it is completed in October and November.  This year we are looking for shoe donations as well as jacket donations for elementary students, hoodies for middle schools and suits/dress shirts/ties and shoes for high school boys.  We provide donation receipts for tax purposes since we quality as a 501c3 non-profit.

Our community stepped up to help communities in need in a great way this year, and the students and parents are grateful for the support.  Our mission has been accomplished!

     Happy New Year!

Blessings,

Greta
